Singer-songwriter K. Michelle is packing up her “Love and Hip Hop” bag and is heading to newer heights.
On Wednesday, Jan. 27, the reality TV star announced that she would begin production on her new television show on her Instagram page starting in February. The “Save Me” singer wrote, “So life for me is completely changing. For 6 years of my life I was on a show called ‘Love and Hip Hop’ it really helped me reach a lot of my goals at that time, I’ll never knock that blessing.”
K. Michelle admitted that the energy and love she had while appearing on the show was gone now. She continued, “But I knew in my heart I could no longer participate in something I was not passionate about and had no desire to be on camera with any of the cast. I just didn’t care I knew it was time for something bigger then throwing drinks.”
The 34-year-old revealed she wanted to do something more with her time and talent. “I wanted to turn my pain into purpose,” she expressed. “So it’s finally here I start filming my new show on Lifetime in Feb and it’s such an Amazing feeling to not only watch your dreams come true but to KNOW I’LL BE HELPING WOMEN TO LIVE!” The songstress, seemingly excited about her newest endeavor, concluded her statement with: “Saving lives. Little ole me. When they count you out God will count you In ?❤️.”
K. Michelle captioned her post thanking those involved, including Lifetime Television, Carlos King, an executive producer for reality TV programming, and a few others. She added, “Feb is go time❤️.”
The post garnered over 16,000 likes and praise from fans and peers congratulating her on her new show, including rapper Kash Doll who wrote, “You continue to Always break that Barrier.” She added, “So Proud of You! Ms.Executive ? @kmichellemusic.”
Another person commented, “When I met you I knew you were great! You kept it real then and still do to this day. Blessings are a part of a blessed life. Keep it up????.”
“Congratulations! They can’t say you don’t get to the bag!❤️❤️” a third expressed. “Proud of you, K! doing things for the right reasons. that’s growth! continue to let God use you ❤??,” a fourth wrote.
There’s no word on what the show will be titled or when it will actually air, but in the past the songstress has opened up about helping women who may have gotten illegal shots or silicone in their buttocks, and afterward couldn’t afford to reverse the process. K. Michelle faced a similar feat when she had her butt injection removed after claiming it nearly ruined her.
