Dr. Jill Biden let her blazer do the talking for her on the second day of her and President Joe Biden’s trip to the U.K. ahead of the G7 summit.

The First Lady met with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his wife, Carrie Johnson, on Thursday wearing a black and white polka dot dress by Brandon Maxwell under a black Zadig & Voltaire blazer with the word “LOVE” outlined in rhinestones across the back. When asked why she chose to wear that particular statement coat for the occasion, Dr. Biden told Bloomberg News reporter Jennifer Jacbos, “Well, I think that we’re bringing love from America. I think that this is a global conference and we’re trying to bring unity across the globe and I think that’s important right now that you have a sense of unity.”

The FLOTUS’s choice in on-message outerwear immediately garnered comparisons to Melania Trump’s infamous “I really don’t care, do u?” jacket, which she wore in 2018 while traveling to the border in Texas to visit migrant children who had been separated from their families and held in detention centers. However, regardless of whether or not the current First Lady was attempting to troll her predecessor, this isn’t the first time she’s used fashion to express herself. In May, while visiting a vaccination center in Charleston, West Virginia, Dr. Biden paid tribute to her beloved pets via her choice in purse. For the trip, the First Lady brought along a brown, custom Valentino Rockstud tote featuring a big “J” with hand-painted portraits of the Bidens’ two German Shepherds, Champ and Major, peeking out from behind it.
